The band had a very enjoyable Quiz Night and we managed to raise £114 towards our trip to Cheltenham. A massive thank you goes to everybody who attended. The Band performed today at the DLI Museum in Durham today. The Band performed really well in dull conditions and just as the final piece was starting to be played, the rain proceeded to come down.
The band had a very enjoyable Race Night and we managed to raise £349 towards our trip to Cheltenham. A massive thank you goes to everybody who helped with the buffet and the stalls. Also, a big thank you to Valerie for organising the whole night and everybody who attended. All of your support means a lot to the band. Despite the Windy Conditions, The Band performed really well in front of a large audience.
The Band took part in the Durham Miners Gala today. It was a very enjoyable but hot day. Outside of the County Hotel, the band played It's A Beautiful Day. At the steps, the Band played Proud Mary going in and Sway coming out. Please feel free to click on the images for a clearer view of the images which were taken from the day. The Band took part at the annual pre Durham Miners Gala Banner Concert in Newhouse Club, Esh Winning tonight. It was a fantastic concert and the Band would like to thank Richard Butler (and his Mam) for singing with us tonight and to everyone who came along. The Band also received a cheque for £100 from the Waterhouses Community Association to go towards our National Finals fundraising effort.
The Band performed in at Durham Market Place today to raise money to go to the National Finals. We were armed with collecting buckets and even had our own stall. Due to the generosity of the general public, we raised a massive £428.59. A huge thank you to everyone who donated. We then had a well deserved band social trip to the cinema to see the Minions Movie and a meal afterwards. A very enjoyable day had by all.
