The final two appearances for the band and their christmas season has been playing at Sainsbury's at the Arnison Centre, in Durham (22nd and 23rd December). The band would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has dug deep these last two days to support us while you have been shopping, it really is appreciated.

Tonight saw the band playing at Beamish Museum's Christmas Evenings in the Town Bandstand. It was great to be back spreading some Christmas cheer for the public visiting the museum. Tonight has seen the band spreading some Christmas cheer in Tesco at Gilesgate tonight. A massive thank you to Joanne Reay Community Champion for hosting us and to the general public who donated generously in our collecting buckets. The band also went live with our new contactless card payment machine for donations.
This weekend has seen the band perform at the next 2 jobs for the Christmas season. The first was on Saturday 11th at Langley Park Primary School for the Esh Parish Council's Christmas Fair. A big thank you goes to Sam for helping us out today.
The 2nd job of the weekend was at Quebec Village Hall on Sunday 12th. It was the band's pleasure to perform to an appreciative audience, along with spreading some Christmas cheer. The soloists for the evening were Lindsey Rowell on Solo Horn and a duet by Leila Davison and Nicola Evans. A big thank you goes to Michael Fairless for conducting and to Sam for helping us out on Euphonium.
Today has seen the band perform at the first two Christmas engagements of 2021. The first was in the morning at Durham Christmas Festival. It was fantastic to see so many people stopping and listening to the band and also seeing our youngest member Sophie listening to us play. A big thank you goes to everyone who put a donation in our collecting buckets. It's really appreciated.
